Upcoming events:

We're hoping for a late April-May installation on the Bishop Library, if weather and other factors allow.

The Bishop Mural Society has adopted long term maintenance for the mural and they have invited some of the tile mural team to join their board! We're very excited at this opportunity to expand our vision and bring more beauty to our community.

Tentative Celebration/dedication date: September 10, 2010. Imagine a block party with live music and good food, Friday afternoon/evening, in the parking lot across the street from the library.

2009 activities
The mountain frieze was completed thanks to workshops at Big Pine and Keith Bright Schools. Tile making workshops were also held at Sierra Alternative Learning Academy and Alabama Hills Community Day School. A dark border was added and lots of shaped mosaic water wiggles were beautifully glazed.

Several events were held in 2008, including a special wildlife art class at Cerro Coso Community College in Bishop where artists designed and created individual tiles and groups of tiles. Details of those activities can be found on the About the Mural page.

Members of the public were invited to use stamps and natural materials to create tiles at outdoor fairs in both Bishop and Mammoth.
